Product details
Regional coffees are curated blends of small microlots from a specific growing region within a coffee-producing country. Because coffee is a natural product, producers—large and small—create coffees with diverse cup profiles.
Working with trusted origin partners, Project Origin targets a final cup profile by intentionally combining lots across terroirs, varieties, and processing methods. This approach delivers consistent, representative profiles for each region.
By deeply understanding each origin and quality-checking a wide range of lots, we curate Regionals that offer roasters worldwide consistency and predictability from harvest to harvest.
Ideal for blending and profile-driven programs, Project Origin Regionals meet clear tasting expectations and reflect a region’s character more reliably than microlots—backed by our team’s involvement across multiple harvests and our stamp of quality.

About Regional Carmo de Minas
Minas Gerais is Brazil’s largest coffee-growing region, harvesting from June to August and producing around half of the country’s coffee—approximately 15% of global supply. With rainfall near 1350 mm annually, temperatures of 22–30 °C, and altitudes from 850–1350 masl, it offers ideal conditions for high-volume specialty production.
This Regional Carmo de Minas features peaberry beans—a natural mutation where a single, denser seed forms inside the cherry. Though smaller and curled, peaberries maintain full quality and flavour. Our experience shows they mirror the profile of larger beans, with this lot offering a medium body and slightly higher acidity than a typical Brazilian coffee.
Naturally processed and harvested June to August, this coffee delivers a medium-bodied cup with soft to mild citric acidity and notes of caramel, orange, and malt. It is well suited to milk-based espresso blends, providing consistency with a balanced acidity backbone.
