• Storied Legacy & Location
• Don Pepe Estate Coffee, founded in 1898, is the oldest coffee farm in the region and the first in Panama to specialize exclusively in coffee production.
• Located in Volcancito, Boquete (Chiriquí Province), it occupies about 70 hectares, comprising 59 ha of coffee cultivation and 11 ha of natural reserve.
• Situated at high elevation—1,500 to 2,000 meters above sea level—on nutrient-rich volcanic soils, the farm benefits from a mild, wet microclimate ideal for high-quality coffee growth.
• Ownership & Family Heritage
• The farm is owned by the Vasquez-Flores family, now in its fifth generation of coffee growers.
• One iconic figure is Antonio Vásquez, affectionately known as “Don Tony” (1952–2016). His lifelong dedication helped elevate Don Pepe’s reputation internationally.
